bench2BUSINESS is an initiative  for aspiring and established scientists and entrepreneurs of color, along with the biotech advisors and investors who can offer skills and wisdom about venture opportunities in the life sciences.  B2B is organized by iPRAXIS, a Philadelphia-based nonprofit dedicated to improving access to the benefits and opportunities offered by science to all. Our motivation for undertaking this initiative is clear. With our nation’s global competitiveness challenged daily, it is critical that we tap every source of talent available to advance America’s and Pennsylvania’s position as an innovation leader. Getting more people of color involved in bioscience discovery and entrepreneurship is not only the right thing to do, it makes good business sense.

Our underlying belief is that for the life sciences industry to fulfill its promise of conquering diseases, addressing hunger, sustaining the planet, and improving the quality of life, all communities must be active participants.
